Community Mission

Our mission is to help make the Casco Bay region a healthier place to live, work, and play by encouraging environmental and policy changes in four public health areas: tobacco use, physical activity, nutrition, and substance abuse.

Community Information

The Healthy Casco Bay area is a 10 town region, comprised of 8 mainland towns (Cumberland, Falmouth, Freeport, Gray, New Gloucester, North Yarmouth, Pownal, and Yarmouth) and 2 island communities (Chebeague and Long Islands) with approximately 53,000 residents.  The region averages ~4.7% living in poverty and the top 3 causes of death on a county-level are cancer, heart disease, and chronic lower respiratory disease.
